Dal Pals Program - Care for Life

Blue Boy's PictureHere I am just a day before my last lifesaving surgery.  Doc gave my a very slim chance of survival after my bladder had burst.  That was almost one year ago. Miss Pati took the risk of surgery and I am alive today to tell my story!

My name is Blue (for my ocean blue eyes) and I've been at Dal Rescue since 2000 where I was found at the city dump.  It took Miss Pati two very stormy days and nights to catch me, but she was successful and I was very grateful.  Along the years, I've had a history of bladder stones and have had a couple surgeries, been put on special diets and daily meds and closely monitored.

Shai's Picture Every once in a while, a different kind of Dal appears in a shelter and I am no exception. I was part of a police confiscation and taken to the pound where Dal Rescue found me. The other doggies with me didn't make it. For some reason the shelter said I was savable and called Dal Rescue. Named Shai (pronounced shy) for my fearful demeanor and shyness, I was bailed out and placed into temporary foster care.
