| January And February Are Senior Care Months! |
|
| January and February have been declared "Care for a senior Dal" months. Dal Rescue has experienced a recent influx of senior Dals. They all need a place to stay even if short term. Most are healthy and fully vetted. All senior will go to foster care with everything they need, all the creature comforts, medications, beds, food, supplements, etc. They need love and compassion in their golden years and have much love to give. Please consider taking in one of these beauties. Please call Dal Rescue if you have room in your home and love in your heart for one of these special Dals. (305) 940-3320 |

Dal Pals Program - Care for Life

Here I am just a day before my last lifesaving surgery. Doc gave my a very slim chance of survival after my bladder had burst. That was almost one year ago. Miss Pati took the risk of surgery and I am alive today to tell my story!
My name is Blue (for my ocean blue eyes) and I've been at Dal Rescue since 2000 where I was found at the city dump. It took Miss Pati two very stormy days and nights to catch me, but she was successful and I was very grateful. Along the years, I've had a history of bladder stones and have had a couple surgeries, been put on special diets and daily meds and closely monitored.

Dal Pals Program - Foster Care

Every once in a while, a different kind of Dal appears in a shelter and I am no exception. I was part of a police confiscation and taken to the pound where Dal Rescue found me. The other doggies with me didn't make it. For some reason the shelter said I was savable and called Dal Rescue. Named Shai (pronounced shy) for my fearful demeanor and shyness, I was bailed out and placed into temporary foster care.

Update 9.12.2011 - Hi All;
Please help little "Itsi", a tiny Chihuahua in trouble. Itsi found her way to the right place...to the home of one of our most loyal and dedicated foster moms and volunteers Deirdre. Itsi was rushed to the emergency vet after realizing she had been attacked by large dogs. Itsi suffered broken ribs and lacerations which required immediate lifesaving treatment and surgery.
