Shai

Shai's Picture Every once in a while, a different kind of Dal appears in a shelter and I am no exception. I was part of a police confiscation and taken to the pound where Dal Rescue found me. The other doggies with me didn't make it. For some reason the shelter said I was savable and called Dal Rescue. Named Shai (pronounced shy) for my fearful demeanor and shyness, I was bailed out and placed into temporary foster care.

With every expectation that even a long haired shy Dal mix like me could find a nice home, it was soon discovered that I may have to live in foster care for my life. I have seizures. The seizures I have had are pretty intense and have even changed my personality, not in a bad way, but have Shai's Picturemade me more aware of even the smallest of gestures and movement. It is not known why I have seizures, but Doc put me on some medication and they are less frequent now. Because of the unpredictability of the onset of seizures and the long term affects medication could have on my liver, Dal Rescue has qualified me as a care for life/special needs Dal. I need a very quiet and safe environment where I could not be harmed in any way during a seizure. I am in a very temporary home right now with a lot of activity around me. I prefer a more relaxed place to live. If you would like to be my friend and sponsor me, please let Dal Rescue know. Lots of love, Shai
