09.21.2011 Update -  Bobbi has left the shelter and is safe on his way to foster care!!

This is a very bittersweet day for Bobbi though as he lost his companion Bucky this morning. Apparently the shelter staff found Bucky seizing and not responsive this morning and sady he didn't make it. A horrible thing for poor Bobbi to witness especially after losing his home. RIP and God speed Bucky! Sorry we didn't have the pleasure of knowing you and offering you happiness in your golden years. Many thanks to the shelter for working so diligently with Bucky to save him and for making a smooth transition possible for Bobbi. Thanks Barbara for being Bobbi's rescue angel today and for Laura and family who will offer their hearts and home to this sweet Dal in need!

09.19.2011 - Bucky and Bobbi are running out of time!!! Please help by fostering!

Bucky a senior Dal and his deaf 6 yo companion Bobbi are in a "ruff spot". Their human dad went into the hospital and called the local shelter to pick them up. He told the shelter he got the Dals from Dal Rescue in Ft. Lauderdale, but when we asked the shelter, they scanned and could not find chips. We do not recognize the name of the person who surrendered them nor do the Dals look familiar.

But what we do know is they need our HELP!! We sent a volunteer to the shelter this morning, (actually a small holding area) in Port Charlotte, Fl. to take photos of them. They are on hold for us, but we are beyond desperate for fosters. The boys are very depressed and scared. We will transport, provide the usual creature comforts, food and vetting to a qualified and loving foster. Short term is OK too. Time is ticking for Bucky and Bobbie who may need to go to separate fosters although keeping them together would be ideal!!! Please help us help them so their lives can be spared!!
