| January And February Are Senior Care Months! |
|
| January and February have been declared "Care for a senior Dal" months. Dal Rescue has experienced a recent influx of senior Dals. They all need a place to stay even if short term. Most are healthy and fully vetted. All senior will go to foster care with everything they need, all the creature comforts, medications, beds, food, supplements, etc. They need love and compassion in their golden years and have much love to give. Please consider taking in one of these beauties. Please call Dal Rescue if you have room in your home and love in your heart for one of these special Dals. (305) 940-3320 |

July 2009 Dash AKA Dalasmunda
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum,
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
Put crepe bows around the white necks of the public doves
Let the traffic policemen wear black gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
-- W. H. Auden
You would have lived forever!

Dash's Photos
Meghan came to pet sit for us a couple years ago and found a particular attachment to Dash, a sweet care for life Dal I sprung from a local shelter back in '97. I named this handsome boy Dash, as he could be found opening all the cage doors at the shelter and all the population following him down the hallway....I guess trying to make a "dash" for freedom.
Meghan asked to take Dash home and give him a wonderful life for his remaining years......she did just that. In fact Dash had a stellar life with Meghan and Mike! Mark and I commend Meghan and Mike for taking on a senior who often got overlooked. Dash was treated like a prince!
Unfortunately we lost Dash last week to heart disease. His departure will certainly change the landscape at Meghan and Mike's home. It was a real tough loss and Dash will be sadly missed by Mark, myself and his new family Meghan and Mike who loved him dearly. Godspeed Dash, we will see you again when you have a new healthy heart and will run to see us. We so miss your big smile and puppy eyes. Your determination and winning spirit will live on through all those who need us!
