January And February Are Senior Care Months!
January and February have been declared "Care for a senior Dal" months.  Dal Rescue has experienced a recent influx of senior Dals.  They all need a place to stay even if short term. Most are healthy and fully vetted.  All senior will go to foster care with everything they need, all the creature comforts, medications, beds, food, supplements, etc.  They need love and compassion in their golden years and have much love to give.  Please consider taking in one of these beauties.  Please call Dal Rescue if you have room in your home and love in your heart for one of these special Dals.  (305) 940-3320

Miss Murphy's Demo

Dateline: 02.14.2010

Miss Murphy joined us at our Dalentine's Day in the Park 2010.  Miss Murphy is a deaf Dal trained by her dad, firefighter Al Theissen of North Lauderdale.  Miss Murphy is a fire safety mascot and travels to local schools with her "have you been spotted reading" program.

Miss Murphy demonstrated her stop, drop and roll for the crowd, sported her sunglasses and firehat, and grabbed the phone to show how to call 911.  Miss Murphy is a local hit and always a crowd pleaser with the kids!Miss Murphy's picture

Miss Murphy is named after a firefighter who parrished on September 11, 2001 in N.Y.  Miss Murphy is Al's third Dal who follows in the pawsteps of Chief Kelly O'Day (still seen on Animal Planet's Wild Rescues reruns from 1999) and Mollly O'Leary who started the reading program.  Each of the deaf Dals learned American sign language..........just goes to show you that there's a spot for everyone in this world, hearing or not!
